PISTOL SKILL BUILDER

$150 per person.
This is a multifaceted class designed to introduce the beginner and/or intermediate shooter to the various aspects of efficient, effective and accurate pistol shooting fundamentals and foundational skills. Intermediate and advanced shooters will also benefit as we will help diagnose and correct any shooting errors or problem areas to help improve your shooting abilities.
Prerequisite:
All students must understand and be able to successfully perform all aspects of safe gun handling. You should be aware of how your pistol works and understand its cycle of operation, how to load and unload, and work in and out of a holster from concealment.
Start time is 12:00pm (noon). Students are expected to arrive no later than 11:30am for set up and range safety briefing.
COURSE BREAKDOWN:
– Range orientation
– Firearms safety
– Warm-up drills
– Ready positions
– Close quarters vs. ditance engagements
– Drawing, presentation, and re-holstering techniques
– Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills
– Search & scan / situational awareness
– Single hand techniques (right and left and transitions)
– Moving and shooting / shooting and moving
– Failure drills
EQUIPMENT LIST:
-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol
-5 magazines minimum
-Minimum of 400 rounds of ammunition
– 5 rounds of dummy ammunition
-Belt mounted holster / kydex holster —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA, UNCLE MIKE’S, FOBUS, or ALIEN GEAR, holsters.
We do not allow ankle, small of the back, or shoulder holsters.
We recommend: Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, Dark Star Gear, C&G Holsters, Raven Concealment, G-Code, or Concealment Express.)
-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.
-Pants or shorts with sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide, mno sagging pants, no sweatpants, basketball shorts, etc.
-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Earmuffs and earplugs
-Notebook and pen for note taking
-Humble willing to learn attitude
– Lunch, snacks, hydration to last through out the day
ADDITIONAL INFO:
This course is limited to 14 students only. First 14 to buy tickets will attend.
Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch and beverages.

If you have to cancel attending a course you are registered for you may opt to transfer to another course that has openings within the calendar year provided you give 7 days notice of the cancellation.
