This course is designed to introduce the intermediate shooter to the art of close quarter defensive and tactical pistol shooting and fighting.

Student will work various drills and techniques with simunition pistols and training equipment. There will be hand to hand techniques and bodily contact taught and executed in a professional learning environment. Students will work retention and disarm techniques as well as close quarter grappling.

Day two will involve close quarter live fire, and simunition inside vehicle work.

This class is for the serious student looking to up their fighting game. Leave the go at home and come to learn.

This class will incorporate the use of UTM/Simunition/Airsoft rounds and firearms in Force On Force scenarios.

ALL UTM / SIMUNITION / AIRSOFT WEAPONS, AMMO, & HELMETS WILL BE PROVIDED. Students may bring their own airsoft guns and gear. (all guns and gear will be subject to inspection).

DAY ONE IS A NON LIVE FIRE EVENT!

NO REAL AMMUNITION / FIREARMS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY.

COURSE BREAKDOWN:

– Safety orientation

– Ready positions

– Close quarters engagements

– Shoot / No-shoot scenarios

– Drawing and re-holstering techniques from concealment

– Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills

– Search & scan / situational awareness

– Single hand techniques (right and left and transitions)

– Moving and shooting / shooting and moving

– Hand to hand combatives

– Deensive knife techniques

EQUIPMENT LIST:

All students must bring: (please note additional clothing and safety requirements)

– Quality eye protection.

– Concealment vest or jacket. (It is best to run this class from your daily concealed carry method, or your LE duty rig.

– Thick sweatshirt or hoodie, Long pants, long sleeve shirt, scarf or neck wrap, tactical style or work style gloves (Mechanix, 5.11 etc), groin protection and medium sized towel.

– Body armor, shin and forearm guards, groin protection, knee pads, elbow pads, and neck protection are optional but highly recommended.

– Notepad and pen for taking notes.

– Bag lunch, snacks and beverages to last the entire day(s)

– An open mind, humble, willing to learn attitude!

– Students who have their own airsoft gun may bring theirs and related accessories.

DAY ONE IS A NON LIVE FIRE EVENT!

NO REAL FIREARMS / AMMUNITION WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY.

DAY TWO IS A LIVE FIRE EVENT!

STUDENTS WILL NEED:

-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol.

-4 magazines minimum

-Minimum of 300 rounds of ammunition.

-Belt mounted holster / kydex holster OWB, IWB or AIWB—PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. ABSOLUTELY NO BLACKHAWK SERPA HOLSTERS, NO UNCLE MIKE’S, NO FOBUS!

We recommend holsters from Dark Star Gear, Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, Concealment Express, C&G Holsters & G-Code.

-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.

-Ammunition dump pouch (optional)

-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide

-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.

-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.

-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

-Earmuffs and earplugs

-Notebook and pen for note taking

-Humble willing to learn attitude

ADDITIONAL INFO:

This course is limited to 12 students only. First 12 to buy tickets will attend.

Students are encouraged to bring their own snacks and beverages.

If you have to cancel attending a course you are registered for you may opt to transfer to another course that has openings within the calendar year provided you give 7 days notice of the cancellation.

NO EXCEPTIONS.

No-Call/No-Show: Participants who do not show to the event without prior 7 days notice forfeit their deposit.
