This course is designed to introduce the beginner or intermediate female shooter to defensive and tactical pistol shooting.
Start time is 6:00pm. Students are expected to arrive on time, (by 5:45pm) for set up and range safety briefing.
COURSE BREAKDOWN:
– Firearms Safety
– Drawing and re-holstering techniques
– Warm-up drills
– Technical Shooting Skills Work/Exploring the Fundamentals and learning how to apply them
– Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills
– Various Shooting Skills will be explored, including but not limited to:
– Engaging multiple targets
– Single hand techniques
– Offside engagement
– Decision-making
– Course wrap-up
-Debrief and Clean up
EQUIPMENT LIST:
-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol
-4 magazines minimum
-Minimum of 150 rounds of brass cased ammunition (no steel cased ammunition)
-Belt mounted, dominant side or appendix carry holster, or Phlster Enigma —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA holsters. We Recommend: Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, Dark Star Gear, G-Code, Stealth Gear USA, Black Center Tactical Holsters. Email us for more info.
-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.
-Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
-Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support.
-Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.
-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
-Ear Protection, electronic prefered
-Snacks, water, shooters should have had a meal before we we begin the night
